Shop during the week, very seldom on weekends.
less crowds, organized merchandise - its so much easier to find colors, sizes and dressing rooms are free
more than once I've stopped by TJ on my way home after work and they were just taking out new merchandise to the floor.
Bring a list with you.
I sometimes take inventory of the pieces I need, such as brown pair of slacks, new jacket, tops, etc. This way I TRY to focus on my list and control my impulses :)
Thou shall not pass a great deal... if in clereance, or an irresisteble price.
I've purchased party dresses, winter clothing when not particularly looking for them... but the discount and price were so low, I knew I loved it, and when the occassion arrives, I'm prepared.
Get in - Get out
Don't spend too much time in one store.. if nothing caught your eye within the first 15 minutes.. don't force to grab someting just because - you wont be happy once you get home
Set a Budget
always ask yourself do I need it? do I love it? can I afford it? the most rewarding shopping experience is the one where you know you didnt break the bank.
